Parkinson finds Content - www.variety.com/article
Executive takes sr. VP spot
By Cynthia Littleton

Former WMA TV agent Krista Parkinson has been named senior veep at Content Partners, the company backed by Mark Cuban and Todd Wagner that buys out profit participation stakes in film, TV shows and other showbiz-related intellectual property (Daily Variety, May 11).

Parkinson will work with Content Partners prexy Steven Kram and chief operating officer Steven Blume in scouting potential deals for the company among scribes, helmers, producers, talent reps and others who may be up for liquidating their profit participation stakes.

Parkinson most recently has worked in development at Tony Hawk's 900 Films banner. She'll continue to serve as a consultant to 900 Films. She previously worked with Kram during her eight-year run at WMA, and she also ran her own shingle, First Step Media, designed to help recent college grads get a toehold in the entertainment biz.

Kram cited Parkinson's "integrity and enthusiasm" in announcing her hire, adding that he'd long been "greatly impressed by her knowledge, skills and leadership."

Content Partners was formed last year when Kram, former WMA chief operating officer, and Blume, former chief financial officer of Brillstein-Grey Entertainment, hatched the idea after realizing the demand for liquidity among creatives and others with profit participation interests.

Veteran financial adviser Paul Wachter put Kram and Blume together with Cuban and Wagner; Wachter and Wagner serve as co-chairmen of Content Partners.
